| im now on prozac but im not too sure about them, im tired alot and dont feell like ive slept much at all, and they are making me hungry yet i cant eat properly. i hope it settles..... | |

 Moderator | I took Prozac for nearly 2 years. For me, the side effects weren't worth it, and my psychiatrist switched me to Celexa.
Depression meds take time to work, usually 2 to 4 weeks before you really notice a difference, and often the side effects diminish over time. If you're concerned about the side effects, you can talk with your doctor and see if he/she has any suggestions for coping with them, and if they're too bad, they can switch you.
I was switched from Celexa to Lexapro (which I LOVE), and then to Cymbalta. Cymbalta, for me, was pure evil, but I know other people who have done very well on it. Back to Lexapro for me! |

the tabs are actualy called fluoxetine...ive been on them for just over a week so i hope they do settle. i had cetalopram a few years back and thy were alot worse... |

You need to talk with your doctor.
Sometimes the medications dont help and you need to be put on a different one, Talk to your doctor, tell him you are suffering  |
