Mammo's ramblings
uh-oh.. I think I'm doing it again!
October 02, 2006 @ 11:43:29 pm
Ok.. I met a girl online a couple of days ago.. and I can already feel the familiar feelings in my belly

This is making me a little bit nervous.. I really like this girl, but the geographical distance between us is rather large. I don't think I'm the only one of us that are having these feelings, but I'm afraid I'm setting myself up for a world of hurt and dissapointment again.

What should I do?

Aww

What are your options? Do you think you could remain friends despite those feelings? Would discontinuing talking to her lessen those feelings do you think?

Do what you feel in your heart is the right thing.

Well, I think that if I stopped talking to her I would just end up thinking about her every day and beat myself silly for letting someone as wonderful as her slip through my fingers...

Then yeah, follow your heart, I'd say. Do what feels right.

But I'm also afraid I will dissapoint her.. I mean, I don't have much going for me right now, I dont have a job or a income to talk about.. I don't have a problem providing for myself, but I don't have much extra cash to throw around.. And I know how much you girls like to be spoiled!

If she is worth her salt, you shouldn't have to spoil her monotaraly. Spoil her with poetry, or other outpours of emotion.

Yeah you are right
I haven't gotten the impression that she is a "gold-digger", so I don't think money is the first thing she will judge me on. I mean, she has already talked about me to her parents!

She seems very level-headed to me

I think it's okay to be nervous...but I also think she'll be understanding. It's the thought that counts, afterall. Less emphasis on the price and more on the romance. Personally I'd take a picnic over an expensive dinner, handpicked flowers over a dozen roses...but then again, I'm a hopeless romantic

I've sent her two really long emails today, one when I woke up, and another one just now. Turns out I had quite a bit to say
She is very easy to talk to, and we have so much in common. We both have the same opinions on whats important in life, and that counts for alot in my book.

I think she'll appreciate the email. I know I always do when I get them However this works out, it's nice meeting a person who shares some common thoughts right?
