So I went to my mum's for dinner...

and where she lives, there is a large rock bluff with trees on it that is very park like. There are many deer that live in the area. I pulled into the parking lot and there were two deer right in the driveway.

After we had our dinner, I was on the balcony having a smoke, and managed to catch this one with two fawns. You can only see one fawn in the bottom left of the picture, the other was having a hard time climbing the rocky bluff.

Personally I love fawns. I think they're rather precious. Sadly my uncle likes to shoot them and make beef jerky out of them. 0.o Poor Little deers....

This is right in the city, Ange. The deer have next to no wild habitat left, so they've moved into the local parks. I see them walking down my street to the park all the time. There's at least one a day that are struck and killed by cars.

Lovely pics Lefty. It's getting like that here. We keep taking away their habitat for more houses, condos and now there are more apartment buildings being made. As a result, we see deer right in the city now whereas before it was just on the outskirts of the city.

We had a ban on hunting of female deer for a long time but that's lifted now as we are being told we have a deer problem. We don't have a deer problem. We have a we humans are taking away their land and they have no place to go problem.
