I took these with my old manual 35mm, which I haven't used in a long time because I got a new digital that is light and easy to use. When I got to the park and took it out of the case, I realized that the battery for the light meter was dead, and I had to rely on estimates, so the shots were under exposed. My apologies for the poor quality and graininess.
This is a heron that was standing beside the Millstream fishing. I had to lighten it up quite a bit to get a good image.
"Zoo-buck-what." Phoenetically, that's how you say heron in my native language, Lashootseed... It's mainly Pacific coastal...
(the 'ck' of the "buck" is kind of in the throat, like german words... like you're gonna spit a loogie, lol)
