Snow in October
October 30, 2011 @ 09:40:49 pm
I woke up yesterday after a Halloween party and held my head in my hands. It seems like every year something more ridiculous happens. Either we have record cold or snow amazingly early. When I thought this another thing popped in to my head. How early will Christmas be this year. Since it snowed I imagine stores will start putting their stuff out super early again. Regardless, us men will still go shopping between the 22nd and 24th.

Our shops already have christmas food on sale.

I saw you have snow. Our fruit trees are heavily laden. Its been a massive harvest this year. Which means a hard cold winter for us.

The seasons definitely seem a bit muddled.

I'm actually attending school in New York, (Hofstra). But I had so many phone calls from my parents about the snow and everything. My whole home town is basically without power and there are trees down everywhere.

usually the UK gets the same weather as NY a week later. I did hear a month ago that we would have snow at the end of October. I wonder if we get it next weekend. In the UK we have Guy Fawkes night on November 5th so that would suck if everything is frozen.

seems like we frequently had snow on the ground on halloween when I was a child in Washington/Idaho. I would assume that NY would be similar.
