I never want kids. Ever!
March 30, 2011 @ 05:12:37 pm
First, to any member that's a parent and/or wanting to be a parent might think this is harsh; you are doing something I could never do! Parenthood!

For the past couple of months I have been watching my nephews and a couple other kids. Thier ages range from 1-4. They all drive me crazy! I find food in the most random areas becuase they stash it for some unknown reason. They have managed to break the unbreakables and my only possesions. They have the worst attitudes and blame each other for everything. In the past two days I have had to clean couches of markers, broken glass lamps, exploded lotions, baby powder, torn coloring books, grafitti off walls, peanutbutter and jelly off my only sneakers...the list goes on.

I know they understand me when I tell them "no," because they tell each other no and me as well. Then these little brats get out of bed in the middle of every night and run around. I get no sleep because of it and have to wake up early. They are mean, violent, loud, spoiled and down right EVIL!

I NEVER EVER ever ever ever want kids of my own! EVER! I'm am ready to go play in a freeway myself if it means peace away from these little spawns of Satan. Nothing is good enough for either of them and they refuse to eat anything I give them, but as soon as I turn my back they want to eat what I just made. WTF?

I am never going to deal with kids after this. Oklahoma is starting to sound like paradise. Please god almight, make May get here soon!

Sounds just like how I got my attitude after dealing with my nephews for two weeks. I said NEVER to the thought of any kids! NEVER. EVER!!
Now at the tender age of 50, I am STILL child free. And very happy because ot it. Yes, it made quite an impression on me!

I never really thought about kids of my own prior, but now I know I don't want them I'm glad I get to experience it too, becuase I have a choice not to have them!

Not to mention how much parents sacrafice for the comfort of their kids. I perfer my money go to a new car or tv over diapers or baby meds

Are you a kiddie-free zone? I actually like the idea of foster-parenting, but I would perfer teens over toddlers. I can understand them, and they understand me, and I know I can handle the teens from working in a group home. Besides, I wouldn't have to keep it if I didn't want it...

100% free! I just don't 'get' kids My mum just laughs at me when she makes a fuss of kids in the street and a look of sheer terror crosses me. Give me animals any day of the week!
Kids ruin manicures anyway!

Yeah... I used to think that too. Then I got myself knocked up, and now I don't know how I could live without them. Maybe it's just different when they're your own, still chaotic but more of an enjoyable chaos or something...

And it's kinda cool having all the toys laying around. They make everything so much more colorful, and you can play with them without just feeling immature.

I'll be honest. I'm way too superficial to want to ruin my hair or make-up

Baby sitting someone else's kids and raising a child / children from birth, are two completely different situations.

I hear that often, but it doesn't intrigue me at all. That's a life long commitment. Also the reason my first sentence was basically giving kudos to any parent that steps up to the plate!

I've been with my nephews from their birth and I love them to death, but is not something I want for myself (my sis tried telling me it's different carrying them but that's a bit foot-in-mouth since I can't) I just do not desire a family I guess

I'm from a very dysfunctional family A parent walked out, the other married a total b**** that treated us like something less than s***. I raised my younger siblings and never had time to myself, and becuase of that never really had any friends

My family was 8 in one house sometimes up to eleven, and at 14 my dad told me to get a job and I helped with bills and bought my own stuff from thereon. I really enjoy not having to be all to responsible for anyone else!

KUDO'S to you for deciding this before you have had any children . !! I will explain the reason I say this ....
I had three of my own kids , there is 3 years between the oldest and youngest . While they were still in grade school a cousin of mine decided she didn't really feel like being a mom to her kids anymore and I then had 5 kids , her oldest and my middle kid are almost one a half months apart , her youngest is just over 2 years younger then my youngest .
5 kids
one 8 yrs. old ,two 7 yrs. old ,one 5 yrs. old and one 3 yrs. old.
I had my cousins kids for just a little over two years when her mom took them over to raise.
