New Post! Busiest month ever!
May 01, 2008 @ 09:12:40 am
April 2008 was my busiest month ever with over 120,000 post! This beats the last busiest month ever, March 2008, that had over 85,000 posts. Additionally, more than 2/3rds of the busiest days ever were in April.

There will soon be in excess of 2.2 million posts and 40,000 accounts.

New Post! Passion and Future Lessons
September 02, 2007 @ 02:41:03 pm
It's been a while since I'm expressed my thoughts on anything but paper. But with this
one, I felt it might be nice to share.

I'm a guy of many passions. I have so many hobbies, that I sometimes find it hard to have
free time, because I don't know which one to endulge in.

I can't say photography is my greatest passion, because I really don't believe I have one. I
think it was the one that just fit. You know, I look at images, and they bring thoughts and
feelings. Emotions that stir like a storm on the sea. Free, open, and without resistence.
Just there to blow, rain and thunder to their hearts content. That's the way my heart is with
photography. There's a certain soul to photography, in it's life, it's grown, evolved and
been redesigned. But a photographer can still look at it's earlier years and appreciate it
with a certain personal pride. For this same reason, is brought an example of why I love
black & white photography so much. It takes away the distracting colours to let you're eyes
search for meaning. It leaves the photo naked and exposed (if you would excuse the
obvious pun), open for opinion, judgement and/or admiration. Leaving the viewer with a
silent connection.

This leaves me with thoughts of what I may be able to do in the future to pass on what
photography has taught me. If not to others, then maybe to my children (if I ever have
some). I think I'm going to give them a compass. It shall be a symbol of something very
important. Every person has that time in their life, however long, of a need to discover
themselves. I think I'll teach them that for me, a compass symbolizes that in ones life, they
can be found. They will lose themselves a some point in their life, but it will symbolize a
certain type of hope. That even when one is lost, they can be found again, with some
effort. That may relay to them a personal understanding of drive, and how important it is.
A wisdom that no one can get anything done, fixed or resolved, without first trying with all
they have to do something about it. As my favorite band, Incubus, says in their song

"When I drive myself, my light is found"

I think that's a good lesson... Anyway, thanks for reading my thoughts, especially if you've
read to this point. Let me know yours.

New Post! New Job
August 04, 2007 @ 05:42:21 am
Hello All,

I'm excited about my new job, after 5 years off I've gone back to work.

I spent about 20 years in the lighting industry, and now I'm embarking on the Home Appliances industry, and wow, the things you don't know about doing laundry!!!

Anyhow...I found out something very interesting the other day...

The consumer reports that are out there are really out to lunch.

I guess they don't use very fair practices, and take payments to make someones product higher on the list.

As an example...

Kenmore washers are made primarily by Whirlpool...and more often then not, Kenmore is up at the top of the list, and the Whirlpool model is much lower down, and yet they are exactly the same product.

Anyhow...thought you might be interested in that little bit of info...I'm learning a lot about these things, and I'm like wow...

Have a Good One.

New Post! Smashing Pumpkins
July 04, 2007 @ 06:12:24 pm
We were sad when we didn't get Smashing Pumpkins tickets.
But we got in anyway! After waiting outside all day of course.

I was pumped. It was a really good show.

New Post! It's been a while

Since I got on here...

I guess that there are many things that I could talk about. One big thing that has happened was that I got accepted into the school of the arts. So I guess I'll be going to NCSA for the rest of high school...

Anyway, that's about it. It's been a good summer so far and all but nothing extremely out of the ordinary has happened.

May 26, 2007 @ 07:48:13 pm
Hello everyone...I'm very excited as tonight my brother is doing his first Gig as a Niel Diamond Look Alike, Sound Alike impersonator. He really does sound like Niel, and has been singing in his Karioki show's for years now...but this is his launch as an impersonator.

Anyhow, his show is a dinner/show which sold out the 53 tickets at 45.00 each!! (and we don't have a big it was not all us).

He also burned a CD he will sell at the show with him singing is really cool.

If you are at all interested in hearing him, he has a mixed track on his web site. and click on The Diamond will automatically load.

Yippy for my Baby Brother.

May 23, 2007 @ 05:55:46 am
Hi all.

It has been a long time since I've been logged on, and many things have changed.

About three months ago, my husband and I moved up to Canada...Victoria BC in is very nice.

I was actually raised in Alberta, while I'm an American Citizen by birth, my parents re located up here when I was in a sense I'm back home.

It is nice I have to admit to be close to my family, and to have the kids get to know there aunt and uncle and cousins.

Anyhow...I thought I'd drop by and re aquant myself I have truly enjoyed my experence on this site, and now that I have a bit of time again am going to start posting.

New Post! Officially back
April 12, 2007 @ 02:57:20 pm
Hey everyone. I'm officially back and I have a ton of news! I have a job, I have completed a novel, I'm no longer having trouble coming out of my comfort zone (took forever, but I finally did it!), I'm going to go to college in the fall and I'm going to study Library Science. I should probably pace myself with all the news I have, so I'll tell mroe later.

New Post! Just got home
March 20, 2007 @ 09:50:09 pm
From my voice lessons this week and they went surprisingly well, despite the fact that I had to eat chocolate during fourth period. (I'm not supposed to eat that because it might cause me to become even more congested than I usually am with the allegies and all)

We did an experiment on how long it takes chocolate to dissolve in your mouth without chewing or swallowing. It really made me want to throw up. And they call it honors physical science...
