I graduated from college in May with my degree in Secondary Level Mathematics and I have been a substitute teacher for the first half of this school year. Three weeks ago I got offered a job at a high school working full time teaching Algebra 1, Statistics, and Trigonometry. I absolutely love the district and the people I work with. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can keep this job next year. They are not sure because they have massive budgeting issues within the district right now.
I know that I haven't posted anything on here in ages and i only get on every now and then to talk to a few friends that I met on here. However, I am SO excited that I just have to share this with everyone! I student teach next semester and after that I will finish my degree (FINALLY!) and today I got my placement for student teaching which means I will now get to start planning. YAYY! I start January 14th and will be teaching 11th and 12th grade mathematics.
Just submitted my Au Pair application. I don't think I have ever been so nervous in my life to press a button lol. Now I just have to wait for them to check all my references and stuff (should only take about a week) and then I can start receiving potential families So excited but so super nervous. It's all getting so very very real. And I know I keep saying that, but it does, the more steps I take toward this the more real it seems and the more scared/nervous/excited that I get
Driving to Melbourne this afternoon... by myself, to a place I've only been to once Bit nervous about that... But the nervousness is overpowered by my excitement, I get to see Simple Plan, Kisschasy and my one of my best friends tonight!! Got all my food weighed and packed to take with me, now it's just a matter of waiting til I can get ready and go!!! Time's not going quick enough
The people who owned her weren't equipped to look after her and were going to put her down, so Dad bought her... I don't think she's very happy with us at the moment, we've moved her from what she's used to, hopefully it won't take her too long to warm up to us, especially seeing as we're going to treat her so much better than her previous owners...

Ben rang me on Tuesday night and asked if I wanted to go to Bali with him. So we went into the travel agents and worked pretty much everything out... Just have to actually decide on where to stay, book it, pay for it, and get our passports. SO excited I can't wait
Also, I bought a new bed today, it gets delivered on Monday, so no more sleeping in a single bed
Over a year in fact I think, and what a year it's been, lots of ups, and lots of downs Let's see if I can slip back in here like I never left Who wants to give me a run down on what's changed??
