If I wasn't arachnophobic before, I sure as hell am now!
Earlier today I was doing a thorough vacuum of my house, and when I reached the living room window, I bent over to clean the sills (near the floor) with the brush attachment.
It's warm today so I had my hair clipped up and a singlet top on and as I leaned forward and swished the curtains out of the way, I felt a strange sensation on my neck and shoulders... like a tiny shower of warm water.
I looked to my left shoulder and saw about 20 tiny spiders abseil off my shoulder and onto the floor and promptly shrieked and jumped back with the vacuum and started hoovering myself (lol, pardon the pun) while several hundred more came scurrying down the curtain and out from the window track.
Somehow I'd missed that there was a nest/sac thing up in the gathered bit of curtain and the little buggers were scrambling everywhere, the floor, the window, the curtain, the ceiling, me... They were bloody everywhere and I just know I'm gonna have nightmares tonight.
Thank god for vacuums, I sucked the little critters up, as of this afternoon they are on holiday in Garbage Bin-land. **Shudders** |
