You know that saying "It never rains but it pours" or "Everything happens in threes"? Well I guess at the moment, these are fitting (albeit cliche). Everyone I know seems to be going O/S for extended periods of time...and I'm not talking acquaintances, I'm talking some of my closest buddies that I share a lot with!
So far, in February, an old mate from work left for the UK for two years, then a couple who were best man and matron of honour at my wedding (very close to my husband and I) announced they were doing an extended trip around the World, perhaps working in Switzerland; so they're not sure when they will come back, and this month another really close girlfriend left for a year's working holiday in the UK as well!
Sometimes I think I must have missed the boat (or plane!). I had many opportunities when I was younger to do the whole "working holiday" thing, but was too busy partying at home to contemplate such a journey. The money was certainly there-I was just spending elsewhere!
Sometimes I regret not taking a year or two to travel, and I wonder how my life would have turned out if I had. Would I have even met my partner and married? Would I have taken a completely different job/degree to what i'm doing now? Or would I have stayed O/S and met a whole other group of friends?
Even though I have these thoughts; I believe I have met some of the most beautiful people in the last 10 years and if I had gone I probably would never have had the opportunity to cross paths with them.
I just miss my friends at times like this and get all sentimental about life...Justs puts a lot into perspective though!
P.S I have been to New Zealand, Fiji, Thailand, Japan, England and Scotland - so I guess that counts for something.

Who loves driving? Who hates it?
I drive for a living spending 10-12 hours a day as a courier...it has just made me realise how many idiots out there have a license!
People can be so stupid, you have to be using your peripheral vision that whole time. They just don't think sometimes...and whilst looking out for these types, you have to make sure you get everything evrywhere on time by the quickest possible route. I guess the bonus is I get paid to listen to music all day long

How funny is Karaoke! I can't believe I did it. It all started with a few beers and some friends...I sang one song and shat myself I was sooo nervous. I haven't sung in such a long time, and I just thought, f*** it. These people don't know me! Throw myself in the deep end, sing a song I love and just stare at the monitor when all else fails. Luckily some friends sang before and after me, which helped
Fun fun fun, cheesy...but fun Current Music: Alice In Chains
