why i chose this topic- there exists a fair amount of orally passed down and generally accepted knowledge on caribbean (specifically trinidadian) food.
i sought to track the evolution of the food that we call our own. track its journey from the old world to the new and examine how differing ingredients and the combining of cultures may have influenced it.
get a general idea of how culture affects food. relevence to me and wider community.
this report provides a tool to aid in the analysis of local cuisine, it gives trinidadians an idea of where our eating habits have come from and what changes it has undergone to lead to our current cuisine.
