Today I would like to address [religious belief]. I am defining [religion] as a belief [in] and worship of a deity. And I am defining [belief] as a [temporary psychological state] in which an individual considers, with a high degree of certainty, that that which is being experienced is real or that a proposition or premise is true.
[Religious belief], in this context, refers to attitudes towards the supernatural.
There is a distinction between [religious belief] and [religious practice] in that some believers do not practice and some practitioners are not religious.
And this is already to long so I will end here and if there are any responses I will address them.

| The official doctrine of the beliefs offered by [religious authorities] do not always agree with the privately held beliefs of those who identify as members of a particular religion.
Given only Abrahamic religions, what are some specific school of thought, how are they similar and how are they different?
Q. Why is this important?
A. Wars have been fought and continue to be fought over religious differences. |
Erimitus
| For example fundamentalist strict adherence to an interpretation of scriptures that are associated with traditional understandings of the text and are distrustful of alternate interpretations.
Fundamentalism is what I mean by a kind of Abrahamic religion. |

Some fundamentalists, no one at tfs of course, are fanatical. With their strict adherence to their particular religious interpretations attempt to force social norms.
Not all fundamentalists are fanatics and not all fanatics are fundamentals but all fanatics, or at least many if not most, tend to have mental health issues.

| Is there a difference between Fundamentalist and orthodox? |

Thank you for that succinct definition.
... I hope it right
No worries, I have faith that you are correct enough for this discussion.
Q. Is there a difference between Fundamentalism an Orthodoxy?
I am thinking that all Fundamentalists believe that there interpretations are orthodox but not all Orthodox are Fundamentalists. |

He said, "Nobody loves me."
I said, "God loves you. Do you believe in God?"
He said, "Yes."
I said, "Are you a Christian or a Jew?"
He said, "A Christian."
I said, "Me, too! Protestant or Catholic?"
He said, "Protestant."
I said, "Me, too! What franchise?"
He said, "Baptist."
I said, "Me, too! Northern Baptist or Southern Baptist?"
He said, "Northern Baptist."
I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist or Northern Liberal Baptist?"
He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist."
I said, "Me too! Northern Conservative Fundamentalist Baptist or Northern Conservative Reformed Baptist?"
He said, "Northern Conservative Fundamentalist Baptist."
I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Fundamentalist Baptist Great Lakes Region, or Northern Conservative Fundamentalist Baptist Eastern Region?"
He said, "Northern Conservative Fundamentalist Baptist Great Lakes Region."
I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Fundamentalist Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1879, or Northern Conservative Fundamentalist Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912?"
He said, "Northern Conservative Fundamentalist Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912."
I said, "DIE HERETIC!!!!!!!!!!"
And I pushed him over. |

I confess that I was not being original... but I did try not to plagiarize. |
