The Change
February 25, 2013 @ 07:45:19 pm

Very soon, I will have finished writing my first novel. It is called The Change at the moment, though I might yet change the name. The story tells the tale about Ramon Guitarra a Thai Boxing teacher and instructor, who wishes women to compete against men on a regular basis and be contenders for world titles in mixed gender fights. He is met with stiff opposition from negative test results and the refusal of the bulk of the female students at his gym to participate in a new training regime, designed to make them able to compete against men and enable them to even win championship titles from male Thai fighters.

Incised by their stand in the matter and the refusal of gyms across the country refusing his proposal as well, Ramon retires from his gym in protest. His most senior student and family friend, Naila, tries to persuade him to come back, forget about his vision, accept the facts and carry on with life as before.

From here, a story of defiance, rebellion and strife unfolds.

...This is when Sagat enters the scene offering to fight in disguise - dressed in pony tails, skirt and make-up to help promote the protagonist's point.

However Shadoloo are hot on Sagat's trail making all effort to prevent him from making a mockery of the street fighting tournaments which have fed the criminal organization's coffers for years!

Ha ha, a very amusing anecdote. Well told. I do believe as a parody, this idea would be very compelling. It could be made into a successful comedy.
