| Well the name will probably fall on deaf ears to most of you. But today at band rehearsal we were in the room next to a girl called Vanessa Amorosi, as far as I know she's not an international act, but quite big here in Aus. She's had quite a few big hits on the radio, and she supported Kiss here when they played at the Australian Grand Prix.
I had never really been much of a fan until I saw her at that gig, but yeah she has an absolutely amazing voice, she's one of those 'pop' stars that genuinely have talent.
Was just weird, and cool, walking outside for a smoke, and walking past a room where they're rehearsing probably her best known hit, or at least most recent big hit. She came out for a break too, we had a coffee with her and her band, and she's a really nice person to boot as well. She even mentioned that she might want to have a jam with us doing a motorhead cover. But I'm not looking too much into that, as we will probably never see her again.
Yeah I'm really not going anywhere with this it was just very weird, and yet very cool, hearing a song that I've heard so much on the radio, and seen perform live, and on numerous tv shows, and award shows, to just hear it come from the rehearsal room next to me, with no audience or anything. And still sounded EXACTLY as she does on the recordings except when she decided to let loose a bit more with some high notes. Made it worth getting up that early this morning. Oh and she's much hotter in person, and up close
