who would you choose to listen to, to your family or to your hearts desire?

what if your family is against with your loved one? will u just let him/her go? or will you fight for your feelings?

for me, as what i did before and until now.. i fought for my feelings, i fought for what i know will make me happy.. coz i know.. opportunity knocks only once, i was asking myself before, what if, he was the right man for me, and then i let him go.. i'm sure i would regret everyday of my life wen i let him go.. so i fight.. and still fighting..

Any family who wont let you choose what you do with your life isn't worth listening to.

Both. then, consider the pros and cons of all thoughts/ideas, and consider the path the pros lead me to.
Note: don't listen to yourself if you're not mature enough. you may end up badly. i said may! not always.

Choose what your heart believes, they aren't the one dating the person anyways. I thought about this in the past and to let family stop you is just wrong, I think they need to deal with it & respect your decisions, I don't have a say in who my mom chooses to be with and also don't feel like I should and same goes for the other way around.

Maybe your family is right if he is a waster and not good enough for you, they probably have your best interests at heart but if you are sure your making the right decision go for it.

I think family harbor selfish reasons I mean we all do. We want our siblings and parents to act in a way we would approve of.

Why?

Because we're all part of your own family. What they do says something about us, and vice versa. That's why some people run away from their family when they feel too alienated from them.

My dad threatened me, said for me never to date a black guy when I was younger (so stupid). Life is about experiencing and I won't let anyone stop me from what my heart desires, most of the time people are quick to judge before they even get to know the person.

I dont know why we think we have some sort of say over who people in our family choose to be with, i have been guilty of it too.

Its really nobody else's business, even your own family.

I kinda had my eyes opened about this.
