the bible says the wife must submit to her husband in everything. kinda wonder if that was true today what life would be like in the home

Nah, Not my thing at all. I've been brought up to respect folk but not be submissive to any bloke. Nowadays it equal opportunities- You know that.

Anyways it depends on the relationship, marriages are a partnership with give and take or they dont work generally

I think old fashioned values have a certain charm, when women were the home keepers and men the bread winners life was simpler, men were under more pressure though being the only person earning money and women were bored mindless.

Basically you cant teach a woman to think for themselves, teach them they are equal and then expect them to bow down to a man. Just wont work in our society.

yes but that was long ago. today both parents must work full time. look at warren buffet, bill gates. w.b. is a billionaire and bill is close and their wives work

If ANY guy I had a relationship with ever got that idea, I'd leave him in a heartbeat. I've only ever 'submitted' to a guy once, and that's cuz he was threatening to hurt my 9 year old sister.

I will NEVER let that happen again
plus, the bible was also written in a time of no indoor plumbing and the plague... society has gotten soooo much better since then

Treebs has said basically everything I was going to say. Being submissive is one thing but some men take it way to far. Yes all of those other factors do have to be considered. I would say that I am a submissive wife for the most part but I do have my say on certain things and I won't settle for being viewed as lower or any less vaulable than any man.

There's nothing wrong with being a stay at home mom. I did that when my kids were little but I love my work now and I love having money that I earned when it comes around to christmas time and all.

Well, my dreams for when I am older are most of the time different than alot of my peers. Most of them get all feminist on me and think I am crazy, but I have no problem submitting under a guy's authority. And my Husband will be the one earning the income for our family, I will do the cooking and cleaning, and homeschooling of our kids.

A job really has no appeal to me....In a job I would have to submit to my boss, which takes my full submission off of my husband, and I don't want that. Also I want to fully raise my kids, till they are out of my house, so I plan to homeschool them. (Like I am)
