: 'Web Vigilantes'
A controversial new phenomenon is taking hold on the internet as frustrated web users start to mete out their own justice on people they accuse of being criminals or just down right anti-social. Reporter James Silver witnesses the self styled crusaders behind one site as they first catch and then name and shame middle aged British men who chat with pre teens in chat rooms. However those on the receiving end of these vigilante sites can face ruin. One London student tells the Five Live Report how his life has been devastated after a dispute about an eBay purchase led to him being humiliated on a global scale.

thoughts on this. it was a serious subject but was very well done 2 lads pose as a 13 year old girl and without 'entraptment' wait to be contacted by middle aged. it was amazing how many men went straight into sex talk to a '13' year old. when they have gathered evidence, usually when the guy uses his webcam they post the user name and e-mail address on their website.

Totally agree with the guys ratting out potential peados.The news of the world exposed a similar thing last sunday a reporter posed as a 13 year old girl and when they had this guy lured in arranged to meet at a train station carpark,they informed the police who where there waiting to pick him up with all the evidence.But.. as with all vigilantes there is allways the risk of people jumping on the band wagon and things getting totally out of hand. Some type of "internet police" yeah,a private argument over an ebay purchase ruining the guys life not so good

i saw this thing on dateline like yesturday i think and they set up all these guys and caught them on cam and they admitted that they new these girls were 13 (even though they were just posin that age) and that they brought comdems and alcohol anywayzzz i think that it is gross and those men r stupid 4 praying on those girls...and like u sayed they go striaght in2 talkin about sex some sayed asl and when they got the answer then the sex talk started...it is very desturbing and i hope that more of these men get caught.
