does this seem completely rediculous, ironic, disturbing and hilarious to anyone else beside
me?

yeah, I guess it a pretty clear sign of trouble when you have to start throwing the elderly in
jail for dealing.

I say take away from the welfare bums and give the money to the elderly and the disabled.

Read the I support the death penalty and wish it was used more often thread. There is a lot
of support, and a lot of opposition, to the death penalty, including for drug dealers, or is
there a more acceptable politically correct term for it if its some old biddy whose social
security wont feed her. We have the same problem in this country with old aged pensions.
People are sometimes through poverty forced to eat canned dog food, or as it is sometimes
called here "Pensioner Food". Our population is aging rapidly. The post WW2 baby boomers
are moving into old age and I expect the population in Australia will actually decline in the
next 30 years. We are likely to be a country that can't afford its old people, and more of this
type of problem will be evident here as time moves on.

One of the options for Australia to increase its population is through immigration, but the
essentially racist policies of our federal government ensures that this is not as useful a way to
increase our population as it could be.....

It is sad that it is coming to this. i saw something the other day, about a 70 year old man who sold crack to pay his wifes medical bills.

Well listen over there in america I just don't see how people get by without welfare.I mean it obiviously had no choice as she needed the money but to treat a 87 year old the way they did is outrages. This is what she said
""I had to hold my hands up all the way," she said. "They wouldn't let me hold them down."Unbelievable you can't do that to an elderly person. And what the hell is this about explain:
"Watch out old people, to some in this forum you are drug dealers and should be
killed" What the hell....

They call for more money but they don't get it. What they have to live on is very little. Most elderly I know can't afford the power during winter so they go to bed at like 7pm to keep warm. Its sad, but the government is either not helping or is turning a blind eye, much like what justvr had to say
