Personally I think the music world is coming to an end because the new rock/metal artists suck! They cant sing, like Taking Back Sunday, AFI, Marilyn Manson, and other people. The only modern ones that can sing are The Fray, Evanescence, and Dashboard Confessional. THe songs are good but the vocals really suck. I used to like rock/metal until the vocals got worse. DOes anyone else agree with me?

i don';t think that is just in the rock and metal artists.. i think it is a reflection on the whole music industry...

more and more artists cannot sing... they may be brilliant songwriters but they can't sing for peanuts and bolts...

As much as I dislike him, Marylin Manson has an amazing voice. I'm not a
huge fan of the Pop/Punk scene voices but still, lots of talent.
And if your calling evanescance NEW, you need to do a bit of research. That'd
be like saying in the past 10 years there has been very few good singers.
Which is a lie. Matt Bellamy (Muse), Thom Yorke (Radiohead), iOta, Ben
Harper, System of a Down.
Theres so much more talent now then there was 20 years ago. I honestly can't
stand any 80's music other than Jeff Buckley.
And also, very few bands actually SUCK. To get anywhere in this world you
need a fair amount of talent. So whether you like it not, don't say bands suck.
Say you 'don't like their music', or it's 'not your thing'. But none of those
bands actually suck.

yeah but mostly when Im not using my iPod for music Im on mtv and listening to their music and lately all I hear is rock and metal a little hip hop and rap(rap isnt based around the vocals its all rythym and flow)

I don't think there are many bands out there who can't sing there are some bad bands that I don't actually like them but they have good voices Gerard Way has a voice Kurt never was the best singer but noone minded him and there are some bad singers but I don't agree that all the modern rock and metal have bad vocals I think most of them are very talented.

TBS rocks and adam & fred can so sing..they are actually pretty good..!! lol no hard feelings or anything ..kinda harsh..

how dare u say Adam Lazarra cant sing!!
n no im not just saying this cos i have a slight obsession with him and plan to marry him!

but ive seen them live a number of times and they are f***ing amazing live.... so shut up!!! :-X

Taking back sunday shouldnt even be classed under metal and rock as u put it...

they are not!
even they class themself as emo!!!
thats y they are in the EMO section of all our record shops!!
they dont class as metal!!!! they may swap in to rock at some points... but they are down as one of the best EMO bands....

yes ok i think i have said enough EMO in this post... and also enuf bad mouthing of TBS and Adam Lazarra has been done!!

There are bigger fish than Evanescence like Within TEmptation,the best female lead goth band of the moment and TBS are poprock/emo. THe current ropck/metal have brought out some good singers, very good infact on the likes of m.shadows and Matt Heafy.
