In practice it's nothing new - merely giving the cells new templates to copy proteins. It's basically no different to stem cell methods.

Seriously - it's not a great thing apart from the fact that it might allow repair of some faulty transcription sequences.

Biology has no insight yet as to development of form - tinkering produces largely random results scientists are at a loss to explain.

For instance, the same chromosomal sequences are in use for formation of material for an eye as are used for formation of material for a foot.

Go figure, lol.
