We've had a debt ceiling for like 90 years and it never stopped anyone from spending or cutting taxes.

In terms of the debt ceiling, does the world (or any particuklar universe) have a ceiling!?

Let's just borrow into the quadrillions of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ now and make even more debt-based money out of nothing while, of course, "promissing" to pay it back later, or much, much, much, much...later!!!

It'd be nice if the debt ceiling actually meant anything. Currently the government can (fairly) easily raise the debt ceiling whenever they want.

It's like late 2008 when both parties got together to hash out a trillion dollar bank bailout. Nobody wants to be the one to claim that the economy blew up while in power.

The debt ceiling will be raised as always. Election year is just around the corner.

Here we have a president who borrows money from foreign countries, to give away to foreign countries. And people love the silly ass.

How has Obama done it any different from previous Presidents? And by give away do you refer to foreign aid?

I don't recall any other president borrowing money from China, a potential enemy. By give away I mean however it goes out but never comes back, as in foreign aid or forgiving loans.
