making a situation worse than it is

Today I accidently got some acid on my friends are when we were doing an experiment. We had all the protection on the school could give us and my friend just happened to come over to where I was doing the experiment in a the saftey of a fume cupboard and I was just about to put the pipette that I just used to get the acid out as I had finished with it and he puts his arm in the fume cupboard to get something and there must have been a few drops in left in the pipette and a drop fell on him and dissolved a tiny bit of skin but he did the right thing a went over to the sink and thourghly washed it.

But now he is going round telling people that I flicked the acid at him and thats what he told his mum and he exaggerated the little mark and now she thinks that I flicked acid at her son on purpose and left a massive burn mark.

As if I didnt feel bad enough already, he is now making a lot worse

Don't worry mate.

His mum will ring the school, they will explain what really happened and that will be the end of it.

Some friend he is though - seems like one you can do without.

what an utter s***, unfortunately for some people the truth is too dull and they have to jazz it up a bit. I would insist he tell people the truth or label him a total s*** forever and ever, also tell him God makes liars piss themselves and thier children will be born with no nose.

yeah im not sure if he joking about it though, but still thats not what you shud go round saying because now everyone thinks I did it on purpose and im not someone that does things like that I am sensible

Im assuming he is the same age as you?? if so.. When i was your age i was in the Air force and the last thing i would do is run home to mum that the nasty flight sgt shouted at me..
