The worrying thing is that now the oxford english dictionary has parallel inputs for american coloquiesisms.

Yankee slang ain't the queens english.

Wanna hear something even worse?

Back in 2001, I was in a chatroom full of American's when one of them asked me if we speak English in Australia. The WHOLE room went quiet.

I said, I speak Australian.

She asked for an example and I gave some slang and offered the translation. She was really into the multicultural thing and thought it was cool Australian's spoke both Australian and English.

I think the American's wanted to STOMP her to DEATH!
