fund raising

Hello all,

I am trying arrange a fund raising event for my hockey club but i have no idea where to start dose any one have any sugesttions.


My hockey club is very small and we find it very diffiecult to get sponsored or get funding for us to play, 2e have just been promoted to Divison 1 and woudl like to get some new kit but can't afford it. So i have the idea to raise the money to help out.
But i dont know where to start any suggestion?

You've definitely recognized your 'need,' but you have not yet had an idea.... My suggestion: put your thinking cap on.

ive had my thinking cap on im just not sure where to start ive have loads of ideas 24hour hockey tournements, sponsors runs/ bike rides. But i dont know how to go about getting anything sorted.

You could try holding a concert - look in the yellow pages or online for some local bands, from experience most bands are usually happy to give up their free time for a good cause. All you have to do then is make up some flyers and posters and hand them out around the local pubs, shops and bars etc... the recommended amount for tickets is usually a fiver.
