I hear that there is alot of paper work involved and some contries make it very hard to try and adopt.
I'm not sure but I think I heard that Madona had trouble trying to adopt another child or was that another female actor
As for culture hmmm I dont think that would matter at least not to me anway

Kids adjust really well. If you're wanting to adopt a smaller child 1-5 years...you wont' truly have a problem.

6,7,8 years olds will have a harder time adjust...but they will adjust with time. It is difficult for them I bet.

One of my best friends when i was little...went to live with her aunt and uncle when her parents came to America to try and settle down and provide a better future for their kids. Taking her with them was not much of an option. She was probably 7 or 8 when this happened.

She cried non-stop for days, weeks went by and she would get sad, but soon she adjusted and was happy again. What broke her parents heart...is when she was fourteen years old...and anytime they would call the daughter to see how she was doing, my friend would refer to her aunt and uncle as her mom and dad. That broke her parents heart...you can imagine. But they all adjusted well in the end.

Not an adoption story but a different situation.
