No. There are many many variations of "in the hospital." It depends entirely on what you're in for, how long you're going to be in there, etc.

Hospital rooms are extraordinarily expensive considering the equipment, cleanliness, and staff that accompany them. Having patients share rooms is a major cost savings. Considering how much medical care costs in modern developed nations, such simple and easy cost savings should be exploited wherever possible.

Not unless you are extremely contagious, very weak immune system, or in special care like ICU.
or willing and able to pay more for a private room.

Or the hospital is at a low capacity, but in that case sometimes they consolidate patients to once area rather than all spread out.

but saying that he is getting really good treatment as was told today he was a dream patient, because he is so polite and thankful, because the abuse these nurses are getting is unreal, one man today refused to take his medication, unless he got a glass of whisky

Its a lot to do with nurses being able to access the patient quickly when needed. Also one nurse can supervise up to 8 patients through the night when there is an open ward but in closed rooms patients are more prone to falling from bed and actually make a slower recovery for a variety of reasons being no socialising and also if they have own room and own TV chances are they are comfy and have no urgency to get home.

25 years ago there wouldn't have been a curtain.

50 years ago there would have been four people in the room.

My point is that it's really not that bad. The fact that people can get bent out of shape about sharing a hospital room with someone else says an enormous amount about how much quality of life and expectations have improved in our lifetimes.

yeah i understand that, its just theres no privacy at all, but still hes in the right place, and being sorted out now, but men are so stubborn, took 2 weeks for him to go to the docs, but just happy i'll get him back healthy, but it upsets him how some patients treat the staff, they take so much abuse, and theyre powerless to do anythingx

yeah understand that, he aint actually moaning, its me, but the staff are run ragged and take abuse, and they love my hub, he so undemandind and has good manners they all love him, its a gastro ward so tons of alcholics, and some are so abusive, one young nurse was abused today, she was asked if she wanted a 13 inch cock, phil me hub was disgusted, they do there best, and have no complaints about his care, but its the smells, haering people poo and cough up phlegm, and hes next to a right sleep talker lol

Don't have him worrying about the abuse, he can't do anything to help except maybe write a letter to the hospital after about his experience, the nurses well be sooooooooooooo happy that someone is being nice to them they will be able to handle the s*** better if they can see not everyone is like that. I hope he gets better soon
