is there a program i can download to make my files smaller? preferably my videos..because they are like 100mb+ and youtube only allows 100mb's max! so i need to make them smaller..the size not the actual length..

What kind of videos are they? Where did you get them?

Generally, videos are already highly compressed, so a file compressor will only make them larger. MPEG-2, MPEG-4, VC-1, DivX, XVid, Quicktime, etc, are all highly compressed video encoding methods that cannot be compressed any further without re-encoding the video at a lower bitrate.

Use video editing software to reduce the quality. The video itself is probably already compressed, so you need to reduce the quality or resolution to get a smaller filesize.

You need to reencode the videos at a lower resolution/bitrate in order for them to be smaller.

Yes. Or just lower the bitrate.

What program are you using, what resolution are you using, what format are you using, and what bitrate are you using?

I'm asking the questions so that I could give you suggestions on how to change the settings to achieve your desired results.

Without knowing what you're doing, I can't suggest different settings to use other than "lower resolution or bitrate."

Can't recommend a good video editing program, sorry.
