"One study found that mothers experienced a 36 percent decline in standard of living follwoing divorce, while fathers experienced a 28 percent increase.

One of the reasons women experience greater economic disadvantage following divorce is that they generally receive lower wages than men...

A second, related factor is changes in social assistance programs, (1996 Welfare Reform), which changed the focus of welfare from an income support program to a work and self-sufficiency program. Thus, some single mothers who previously may have received cash assistance, food stamps, and housing subsidies following divorce either are no longer eligible or are eligible for a limited period of time and then must transition to jobs, most of which do not pay enough to lift the women and their children out of poverty."

-from Women, Men, and Society by Renzetti and Curran.

The reason that men experience a 28 percent increase in standard of living is because women usually get the kids and roughly half the men do not pay child support, thus freeing them from the financial burden of raising children.

f***ed up, eh?

I agree.

We have a government agency called the Child Support Agency who have made so many monumental f*** ups there is a call for it to be abolished.

Irresponsible absent parents get away with murder and couples who are trying to resolve the financial agreement between them fairly get interferance from the CSA which often destroys good agreements.

Australia has the Child Support Agency(CSA) which was completely designed by male hating feminists.

As the father earned more money, more and more of this money went on taxes and to the mother. I have met fathers who work for what is a pittance to survive on. Any overtime taken from him. This has led to many suicides which leaves the child all the poorer without a child. Argue that with the feminists and they get all hairy.

There are lots of fathers who find themselves paying for the mothers to have a lifestyle. One such example was a man whose ex-wife had go married to someone who was on a good income who owned houses, a big boat etc. Money from his pocket was paying for their lifestyle.

A solution is to decide how much is paid by offsetting both incomes off each other that way it is assured that mothers lucky enough to live in a good financial environment, are paying their fare share. Not completely coming off the fathers back.

Another problem is the high amount of angry ex-wives who punish the father by hiding the kids yet force the father to dosh up the dosh. I know a woman who kicked her husband out cause his work took him away from home regularly even though there was NO local employment and she would not move away from her mum. He was a chauffeur and on one occasion when she rang him to offer some irrational abuse, he was driving one of the highest Judges in New South Wales. He was also his body guard.

Thankfully we are starting to see some changes which will allow the father to have some money left to live on by not taking any extra wages earned.

I have a close friend whose wife walked out on him and three children. She basically abandoned them and disappeared. He was awarded custody and child support. He never received a dime in child support. I guess that he may be the exception to the rule; however, when child support is not forthcoming, it is the children who suffer; regardless of the reason for it being withheld.

Unfortunately, these CSA people only like to hunt you down if the non-custodial parent is the father.

The anti-male bias also extends to Children's Protection Agencies. After observing the effects of working in such an environment; one is left to wonder whether or not they began work with that attitude or developed it over time. The "burn out" time in such vocations averages out to one year.
I have known such people possessing anti-male bias. There is no way to redeem yourself for being male. Left to their own devices such people really damage themselves. This is true of any one who actively hates others regardless of class.
On the other hand the courts havn't dispensed Justice in quite some while now. You are entitled to as much Justice as you can afford.

I truly respect your views on this matter. In no way excusing such behavior, it has been my experience that such things are caused by what people have been exposed to. Much can be gleened by looking beneath the surface of people who behave in this manner.

We have allowed ourselves to become irrational due to the level of child abuse left unattended. However, what we are attending to usually, is not the most important cases but which contradicts their ideological madness.

The system to protect children is beginning to show signs of wear and tear. If you will recall the little girl in Florida that was snatched by a woman claiming to be a CPS worker. The woman was not a CPS worker. Gone for months before any questions were ever asked. Still missing as far as I can recall. This caused a Florida review which showed that those in charge were not worthy of being entrusted with children. Similiar situation exists in other states.
In America child abuse is an epidemic. In a recent trial of noteriety the jury pool of 100 people were asked how many of them had been abused as a child or knew someone who had been abused. 65 people held up their hands.
In America the first child abuse cause was brought in the late 1800's by the American Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals when they went to court to have a child declared an animal so she would fall within existing animal protection laws.

When it comes to the worst violent offenders against children, the judges here like to go easy on em. Soft hearts they are but helping to destroy the fabric of society.

Don't mess with a child in Texas. On the other hand, since most child abuse occurs within the home, most of it is never reported, until law enforcement is called by a hospital.

these sick buggers would run and hide if people like I made these laws.

Execution...first such execution to be carried out by the Nation's Leader with media present. What a way to send a clear message.

People nowadays have kids too freely anyway, like they don't understand that children are air-breathing, clothe-wearing, food-and-drink requiring human beings that require nurturing, attention, affection, support, and every fair opportunity to succeed. Let's take a good look at the idiots that don't know what being a parent (much less a good parent) entails or at least don't care enough to use contraception.
