ecstasy being sold in sketchy convenience store...

i walked into a convenience store one evening, and i was aimlessly wandering around the store, zoning out, almost accidentally entering the 18+ porn collection. as i realized my right foot was already in the restricted area, i turned around, walked away embarrassed, and started looking at the products on the shelves in front of me. i got frightened a little because i thought they were condoms at first, but when i looked closer and started reading the labels, they were little packets labeled, "party medicine", "ecstasy" and stuff like that...i got a little freaked out and went over to the snack section. there, i looked at the lady at the register. she was giving me the stink eye, and she looked kinda nervous...well, when my parents and i were leaving, she went to the back and fetched the manager or whoever it was and they were stealing sketchy glances at me while talking about God knows what. i pretended not to notice and kept on walking. they didn't say anything or stop me, but i don't think i'm going back to that store for a while...

that night, i consulted a street-smart friend of mine who knows a lot about drugs, and he said they're probably fake, but i'm not sure if i can completely trust his words.

the pills were being sold like candy at a supermarket-little, colorful baggies that look like condoms within a small box designed with matching colors...there were about two or three of those boxes fulls on that one shelf. and the owners of the store didn't do much to cover it up.

i'd like to know what others think of this.

Have the cops investigate?

Well, here in Aus you can get legal natural forms of things that are meant to be like ekkies, so I guess it's possible to get them in the USA...

if it's like bob says, and it really is a fake, then there'd be no point in calling them in, though...so i'm really hesitant about calling them in...

Probably just legal highs,waste of money imo,people would be better off buying a tin or 5 of butane lighter gas.

Yeah there are a lot of herbal preparations that are legal to sell.

On TV last night, I saw a news article about whipped cream that is fifteen percent alcohol, being sold in C-stores..it was in the dairy section, not the beer and wine section.

It could also be a synthetic form but yes, it happens.

Convenient stores are currently selling K-2 over the counter...which is a synthetic form of marijuana.

Its funny, the stores can LEGALLY sell them to anyone, even underage...but our sheriffs station said that if found anyone with it, they would be arrested.

They're working to pass a law to ban that stuff from being sold.

hey...i get freaked out by sexy things because i've always been surrounded by friends who are goody-two shoes anti-sex people (no offense to them though), and i've always lived a sheltered life...i don't see those things very often... -.-

mum was purchasing something and dad was busy looking at the asian snacks...

i saw that story on the morning news as well. that may be why i have a strange obsession for whipped cream...
