do u sleep with the door open or shut?

I have always slept with door open

When I was a kid, growing up in the castle, my keepers usually locked the door behind me before they ran hurriedly back up the basement stairs. So I kinda got used to sleeping with the door shut, even after I k.. left.

I used to have the door open, but then one night my brother canary had escaped and flew into my room at night...My worst nightmare.
So now it's always shut.

Shut, I like knowing when/if somebody comes into my room. And it would also be stupid to have my door open when the aircon is also on, why share with the rest of the house.

I sleep with it open, I do other things with it closed and then I open it before I go to sleep

shut so my cat cant peee on my bed? n also because i dont like the darkness of the landing in the middle of the night it scares me
