But Freddie Mercury in Queen still makes me tingle whenever I see recorded versions of him in concert. He seemed to know just how to work the crowd. Nobody has ever come close to having the stage presence that that guy had.









To be honest, just looking at pics of him on photobucket actually put a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye......He was the best.

I still love his music. Didn't realise it had been that long though

Yeah it has, I was 16 when he died. He is the only person not a family member that I actually cried about.

Sorry about the other thread. They are the same but different. One says he's been dead for 17 years and mine says he would have been 62 years old today had he lived. I couldn't picture him being 62.

I don't think he would have agreed with a lot of the gay topics of this day. He once said that announcing to everyone that he was gay was "beneath me" in an interview when asked why he didn't attend gay pride day's and why he never publicly announced that he was gay. His answer was along the lines, 'Everyone's sexual lives were supposed to be between them and their partners and NOT for public knowledge'. He would be cringing right now at how things have changed in my opinion...
