apple

how many people here are using an apple computer? do they still use them in the majority of schools? i just went to open house at my son's school and had a real good time! upon visiting the computer lab i noticed everything's apple. when i was a kid we used apples at school also. is this still the norm today? i been thinking of getting him his own computer to play with and practice on, but am undecided between a windows based pc or an apple computer. he's only in kindergarten right now, but will be starting 1st grade in the fall. the school he goes to is a k-5th grade. apple computers scare me because i am totally unfamiliar with them! i know allot of you are in high school now, what kind of computers do you use?

ive always had windows microsoft, which i think is good because it helps set up everything for you and will give tips and pointers. heck.. they even give ya tours of the programs
i dont think you should give your child a computer that your not familiar with, mainly because if something were to ever go wrong you couldnt teach him how to fix it or anything.

yea, i'm a bit of a computer nerd and a f*ckin' genius with windows. i think i could learn how to use an apple if i had one.

well in highschool we used dells lol but get him what ure familiar with hell learn the other one in school anyway lol nah whatever u thinks best for him, my advice sucks lol ah well here its a hug lol im gonan shut up now cause i have nuthing constructive left to say well i didnt have anythin to say to begin with ^ call that constructive i think not! lol

makes sense about him learning at home and at school. sounds like a good idea.. he gets double the knowledge and gets to be smarter than his dad

I remember in elementary school all of our computers were apples...at my highschool we still have some old apples, but most of our computers are microsoft-based.

I think that if the computers at his school are apple it might be easier if his computer at home was also an apple.
