I really want some shutter shades, at first i was gonna get some neon ones but I just saw some glow a pair of glow in the dark ones and prefer them, but I was just wondering if after a while the glow of them stopped working? and just wore out?

if that's the case then I might aswell just get the neon ones

any help would be appreciated :]
Thanx.

Ok, I don't know why my first answer didn't show up at all.

Hmm.

What I said was, I have had a glow in the dark blanket for about 8 years now and it still works amazingly well, it's made of plastic fiber I think, so if your shades are plastic then they should work quite well for a long time.

lol it did show up, i posted it twice because the other post was in the fashion section and i didn't know if as many people would see it in there as they would in here lol
thanx again :]

i replied to the other one, and i saidd
i'm guessing they probably are made of plastic,
but does it really matter what material?
surely if anything that is glow in the dark will last forever as long as it has light to use right?

Oh. lol. Ok, I thought I just got distracted and forgot to press post.

I honestly don't know, I would think so if it's using light to be activated, but I don't have a lot of glow in the dark stuff, I imagine the quality depends also, if it's just a glow in the dark coating on the outside or if it's mixed into the plastic, it could peel off if it's just a coating.

p.s.
Sorry about that, guess I got all confused.

lol my fault, i should of posted it as number 2

could i ask what you personally think i should buy?
the neon ones or take a chance on the glow in the dark pair
the glow in the dark ones are ?8.99
and the neon ones are around ?4.99 i think
they're definitely cheaper than the glow in the dark ones anyway

i'm leaning towards the neon pair now

plus, you know like the night time bowling UV things, well the neon ones should still work on them right?
because i would use them mostly under a UV light

Thanx :]

Hmmm. I'm not sure how your money compares to American, but that is almost twice as much... I think I would go with the neon pair.

Another way you could go is just getting plain white ones and a black light.

Neon of any color is usually always black light reactive.
A note, black light also is the best light to use for activating glow in the dark items as well. And glow in the dark treated plastics will basically glow for as long as you own them.

ohh thanx :]
i just checked the site i saw them on and the neon ones have like a ?3.91 shipping fee so that makes them around the same price, i'm just gonna see what the neon price is and compare

i just didn't wanna get the glow in the dark ones and when the wear out, have that dreary glow in the dark in the light look..
lol but if i was to buy a blue or pink pair, they wouldn't have that yellow-ey milky tint would they?

As far as the tint, that I'm not to sure of, it would depend on the actual item. I've had a glow in the dark putty sort of stuff and it glowed a solid color. If it was a solid colored plastic it should have a fairly solid glow of which ever color it is.

lol, yeah, neon would be the better way to go, cheaper from the sound plus you wouldn't have keep recharging them with light every half hour to an hour to keep the glow going.
