I can't say I think it is wrong, IMHO the death penalty can be justified, but yes I see how in every case it may not be the right thing to do. The poor most assuredly gets the DP more than the rich, maybe that has something to do with the lawyers and less with the law.

That's horrible, poor guy. I honestly don't see why the death penalty is still around really, I think it's a disgusting and savage thing to do, no matter what crime has been committed. I'm glad the UK hasn't got it.

I don't know if it so much the right, as much as where you raised, and how you were raised, Texas is a very PRO DEATH PENALTY STATE..Now do I think every crime deserves death, NO. But I have real problem with my tax paying dollars going to keep child molestors, feed, clothed, and housed. Yes I know it is cold, but again it is more how I was raised.

I think its worse to keep delaying! Thats mental torture!
I really don't have an opinion on the DP But I do feel that if innocent people are put to death then the system is failing!

we dont have the death penalty here, you cant even be hanged for treason anymore. (i know, i looked it up).
but i do think it has its place. and i agree with you murfreeboro. i get so angry knowing the taxes i pay go towards rapists and paedofiles having parties in prison and having luxuries. the punishment should fit the crime so not to be used willy nilly, but from all accounts it isnt used willy nilly any way.

I'm pro death penalty. Always have been. There are some cases where it's uncalled for but most of the time they use it in the right way. I'm glad Texas has it. If someone kills a member of my family or one of my friends, I'd want to see their friends and family suffer as well.

I find It amusing how at how many so-called Christians are Pro Death penalty. I'm indifferent to it. there has been a few cases in Texas were an innocent person was put down. but like that one person before posted. it seems like if you have the money you are innocent. sad but usually true.
So many people seem to think this guy is innocent and the state will not budge.. something is definitely wrong with the justice system. I approve f this type of sentencing when there is substantial evidence that the offender committed the heinous act. but here it seems like insubstantial evidence is good enough to put someone to death.

the death penalty is not good in my book. the death penalty lets the person who committed an atrocious crime out easy. let them rot in jail i say.
