I have the worst tension headaches it seems like they start in my shoulders and move into my neck an then my head. I tend to stress less now that I did a few years ago. I think seeing Ashley being so young and really hanging on to stress has made me ease up on houw stressed I allow myself to get now days.

Ashley stress out over the smallest things, I tell her she's going to have a stroke if she don't let up.

For the most part , I smoke more when I am stressed and I cuss a lot . Usually after I blow off my steam I'm ok though.

talk to me about this subject again after I make it thorugh my first memorial day in business which will be next weekend, we'll see how I make it through that one.

I used to throw tantrums when I get stressed out. On the spur of the moment things that makes me raise my voice, or just bang a few things to let off steam. I never did throw things around though - which on hindsight might've saved me a few bruises on my hands.

But now, I'd like to think I've mellowed down somewhat. I'm still as stubborn and as impatient as ever, not to mention short tempered... but I feel I've gone in the total opposite direction. I shut down when I'm stressed out or angry. I won't say a word to anyone, I'll just keep quiet for the duration of time that the frustration is in me. It does show on my face, though, so much so that the people closest to me know when to leave me well enough alone during those times.

Lots of people have told me that it's not good to 'bottle up' my emotions that way, but I've never seen it as keeping it all to boil over in the future. Most of the time I realize that I'm angry, upset, or stressed over the way things are going... but I do recognize that these emotions will only last as long as I let it. No problem was ever solved when one is heated up, and I guess maintaining the silence is my own way of dealing with it.

As soon as it passes over, I am myself again... but the best thing I've found is - I never ever did hurt anyone again by harsh, unintentional angry words by doing so.

I think nowadays (i sound like im a dead old person ) but there is a huge amount of increase of stress on our lives, however little and significant it all adds up and puts massive pressure on our lives, family, friends, work etc etc.
To combat stress then i guess you'd have to find something that relaxes you... a massage maybe. Or kickboxing to beat it out on a giant sack of flour
Whichever it may be, everyone could do with a hug now and again, it makes you feel oodles better

When I'm stressed I have difficulty sleeping and tend to be more silent than my usual self.
I have very slow fuse on my temper but if I loose my temper give me plenty of space because I'm a nasty person when stressed to the point of anger.

I've found TFS a great way to verbalise things that are stressing me for example that blonde b**** of a manager I have. .

Simply by releasing the stress and sharing what is bugging me deflates the source of the stress allowing me to be much more effective in the office.

If im stressed i'll be really grumpy and snappy at home and i'll usually just keep to myself..i wont want to talk about anything just go in my room and listen to my music.
If im really UBERLY stressed i'll fret about small stuff and sometimes i'll start crying over nothing.

I have a nice way of relieving stress. I wait until I get home, and then I go outside, and when I'm about half a mile away from home, I punch something that will really hurt later on (walls)

It's a pretty good methos, mainly because you don't feel the pain at the time...
