Who is your favorite video game bad-ass (character)?

This is a hard one for me...I'm trying not to choose any character developed by Square-Enix...and I'm trying not to be lame and say Mario...

Shepard from Mass Effect. It's a role playing game, so Shepard can be a man or a woman, good or bad, and you can change the way he or she looks. I've played different Shepards, mostly good though.

I love playing a woman, by the way.
