I find that there's a place where everyone can go and cry a little when they're upset or just need to get something out. Now I know Psychiatrists, Psychologists, friends and family and even forums ( ) can be a good place to go, but I'm talking about a place in your home, in nature, or even in your mind. I started this because today the husband of a close friend of the family that we have known for a few years passed away. It upsets me because he was a good friend and we really enjoyed each other's company. It was all so sudden as well. He was 79 and the only thing that he had trouble with (as far as I knew) was his hear. The two of us liked to play chess a lot so I always used to say that he could literally tune out the world.

So I ask again: where do you cry?

I usually end up going to the bathroom. I can have a good cry there in private and wash my face with cold water after. It helps with the puffy eyes.

Where I used to live, I would hike up behind the cemetery to a really secluded place and just have it out there. Or I would write, or bring my guitar and play to the headstones. It was my favorite place to go. It was private and no one came back there. Highly therapeutic.

i am so sorry your friend passed away, friends are like family we get to pick, continue with the chess and dont get sad, remember the good/fun times you had,its such a good way to honour him, grieve and cry when you want to noone can can hurry that process, get it all out of your system and remember him laughing,it will feel weird at times but it does get you to remember the good as well as the sad,i hope you wont feel this wayfor a long time. x

Everywhere. I tend to cry alot. Uncontrollably. I hate crying in front of people who love me because I know they feel bad for me, it's rather embarassing being such an emotional creature. Sorry for your loss.

i know this hiking trail out in the middle of the woods... you can either hike the trail until you feel better, or if you absolutely have to cry you can climb this three tier tower and hang out on top above all the trees... its so secluded... i actually fell asleep up there more than once... its good for times of distress...
