When is it that young men start to grow up to be real men?

Wish I knew. My boyfriend's older than me but every night's like a slumber party for him (video games, cheap booze, bad music).

Are you sure you're not talking about my husband? So troublesome.

Clones, basiccally. It comes from a really z-grade sci-fi movie, I believe.
Seriously, though, it's odd, this state of prolonged adolescence. Seems to me that a lot of what's thrown at young boys ( and young girls, for that matter), focuses on who/what the boy will be once he's full- grown. And then, once they are full-grown, rather than deciding that what they want to do is save the world, woo the girls, etc., they want to spend their money on the things that they should've been saving up for with their lawn-mowing money.
Mind you, the ladies are guilty of this as well. Just to a lesser extent, from what I can tell.

Physically yes, but I would not go so far as to say mentally. I think around 25 is when a person comes into there own. Some do this much faster the others and others are stuck in a immature pool of jealousy and stupid choices. You weed out all the s*** and you will find the man you are looking for but it may not always be in the place you were looking.

I don't know where else to look. My husband is a gamer. If it wasn't for work GAMES would be his life. Personally it sucks.

I know that kind... hell I use to be a Gamer. I would try to honestly talk about what you feel and maybe a way to get him to play less. The only reason I am not a gamer anymore is work and school got in the way. Maybe find another hobby you could do together.

I have tried that. It has resorted to me having to play games I'm not interested in just to spend time with him. If i'm not in the mood to play he'll got next door to play with the neighbor. When I try to talk to him about it, he just annoys me to say the least.

I know the feeling, lady. I could greet him at the door wearing a teddy and holding a perfectly chilled Grey Goose martini, and he'd still probably leave me for the Xbox eventually that same evening.
The sad part is, he's not even terribly good at the games he plays. I OWN him in Soul Caliber, and I'm not much good myself.
