For me, it's normally films where something happens to animals such as Homeward Bound where the animals think their humans have abandoned them and Marley and Me. I even had tears in my eyes at Bolt for the same reason as Homeward Bound!

I very rarely cry at sad films where the sadness is focused on a human, like Beaches and My Sister's Keeper.

Very intense war movies, if based on real life events.

Its hard to say for me. I can see some sad movies and not be affected while other movies I surprise myself by crying.

I think it all depends on how emotional I am at the time and how emotional the movie is.

One movie that always has me in tears is "What Dreams May Come". The part where Chris Nielsen is reunited with his daughter.

From what I remember, it wasn't given the best of reviews. But I never listen to movie critics. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120889/?ref_=sr_1

I'm with you. Everything from Finding Nemo to Leap Year. Rom coms tend to make me cry and as Silver Lining says, abnything at all with animals being hurt. That gets me every time- the Green Mile choked me when the mouse got stood on, even though it was a sad stroy, that mouse got to me!

Like I'll cry if it's sad, or too happy, or even a few times I cried out of boredom.
I might have an emotional eye leaking problem

Agree. I love that movie. One of the best in my opinion. It makes you really get into the story and think about things.

Gotta say I felt sad watching Saving Private Ryan.

And recently Act of Valur. Which is an amazing film.

The only film I've really cried at (multiple times) was Les Miserables.

All of them.

Me too. I am the worst for crying at movies, often at small moments that aren't even central to the plot.

If I were to be able to shed tears, meaning I actually had feelings, the kind of movies that make me cry are the ones where the hero perseveres and comes home. So movies like Willow and Lord of the Rings come to mind.

Also, movies where the nonbelievers start believing. Like in Elf, when everyone starts singing and Santa's sleigh starts to fly...I cry every time.

Of course sappy movies like Beaches and the Notebook will bring on river of tears.

Anything sad and emotional makes me cry. I never really used to cry at a drop of hat but these days, it seems like anything sentimental makes me cry.

But really, sad moments in romance movies or sad romance movies make me really cry. I'm a romance movie kinda girl so something like A Walk To Remember makes me cry quite a bit.

But really, any intense scene which has sad or which SHOULD NOT HAPPEN because goddamnit, everyone should have a happy ending, makes me cry.

A good example of an intense scene is in Pursuit to Happiness where will smith had to lock himself and his son in the subway bathroom at night because he was homeless and had nowhere else to go and the security guards were banging on the door.
