What is your purpose in life?

We all have a limited amount of time in our lives, nobody knows how long. What is your goal in the end? I mean what do you want your life to mean after you are gone?
For me I want to have a more positive impact on those I encounter then a negative one. If I can accomplish that in the end then my life will have had meaning.

ummm... I guess mine would be that I helped as many people as I could.. that's why I got a degree in the medical field. I know what it's like being a patient and being scared because I don't know anything that's going on.. I just want to help people through their medical experience and to help them have as good time as possible..

A 'positive impact' is 'good' for people, but i have have a problem with believing that life has meaning and purpose.

This is probably going to be a very depressing post, but ultimately any effect any of us have will be gone. The effect we have on those we know now (whilst irrelevant on a meaningful level) will be gone when they - or possibly a few generations of their decendants - die; Any written record or physical marker will be destroyed (a basic fact of entropy), and even were it not the universe will become incapable of suppoting life and so any effect one person has in one part of the universe at one point in time will stop being minimal to the point of non-existence, and actually become non-existent.

I suppose the only way around that is if we give very strict boundaries about for whom we wish our lives to be meaningful and restrict ourselfs to those boundaries without considering the implications of human pointlessness

To understand the connection between body and mind. To get on the path my subconscious tells me to be on and continue with it's instructions. Finally to reach my goal of what some of you would call forced evolution. Inadvertently making the lives of the people close to me better.

I don't even know if I have a purpose sometimes.

Hmm, I don't really have a meaning to live right now, I'm just getting my education and relaxing, but really no point, I guess its mostly just for the only friends I got and my parents I guess, no personal meaning though.

nothing really cept living my teenage years to the max without getting in trouble,finshing school also,and just hanging with my friends as much as possible

I want to help bring about a social revolution that will create equality, abolish governments and nations, allow people to live as they wish and do as they wish so long as they harm/exploit/rule over noone else.

Mine is to live everyday to the fullest... Likes its the last I will ever have... Raise my children and teach them to be respectful and HOPEFULLY pretty good kids...

I think my purpose is to help ppl with my words, bring up my kids as best as I can, to fully equip them with the tools they need for the outside world without me.

I'd like to think I can bring happiness even for just a moment to the ppl who's lives I touch

i dont have one. all my reasons ran out along time ago.

You are only 15, I think we've all felt like that at some point in our lives hun, hang in there it does get better, I promise
