You can carry it, just don't put heavy blankets into it!!!! My kids sit on theres around the fire so it can double as a seat as well..... Many uses

We camp at Christmas for 6 weeks its like home away from home.

We have motorbikes,a boat, a jetski and lots of fun!

You should try it!

You are so missing out

.. sounds like fun.. we have pretty much stopped camping lately cause i never enjoy it.. i would rather go to straddie and stay in the house straddie

nah, it sounds like great fun.
especially for a family holiday.

but the reason i see for camping is to escape from that kind of thing. each to his own.
i'm sure i'd have a blast with that stuff but its not my cup of tea right now.

Thats just one side of our camping! Thats what I mean so many different set ups for different styles/types of camping. We can go extream bush and do nothing, or go for walks etc
We can make it easy or hard, light or heavy, that is what camping is all about.

Our camping trips are mostly a last min decision

But my gear is as follows ( a planned trip this is )

* Tent ( Blackwolf Mantis 2 )

* Sleeping bag rated at - 10.. so f***in warm too hot in summer tho

* Pillow cannot sleep with out a pillow.

* Lighter

* A news paper

* Bog roll

* A few cases of beer, more if we are staying longer

* Torch.

few other things, out set up is usually tents off to one side clear from any trees, if possible. then we have our fire which ranges from small camp fire to raging bon fire with the consumption of the beer.

Food isnt usually high on the list, few bangers and a loaf of bread will keep us going.

Camping trips are the best, heaps of fun ya can be as noisy as ya want!!

Although my last camping trip ended in me at the doc geting 4 stiches in my foot

We are currently building a multi purpuse camper. We have got sick of setting up tents all the time.

It is like a caravan on a trailer, with out side hot water shower attached. Water tanks. Room on the trailer to take swags if needed, motorbikes, space cases and seperate compartments for generators and all the boy stuff.

When we want things simple we just take the swags, the kids have one each and we have a double.

We did the Simpson Desert in a roof top tent, awesome and would highly recommend one. We mainly use that on outback trips or 4x4 trips

i taught on 3 day trip , you bring

a tent
a sleeping bag
air mattress
a flashlight
a knife
matches
a radio
a book
a heavy coat or a light coat
walking boots or a sneakers
a raincoat
a pillow
a pair of jean or short
underwear and socks
first kit
long shirt or short
a canteen
toilet articles
a pan, coffee pot, and mess kit
food in a cooler, snacks, bottle water, and sodas
a trash bag
a shove
toilet paper

i taught was if you roll out your sleeping bag, and you put most these items in the sleeping bag, and then roll up the sleeping bag in as a small roll, and if you put and attract to a backpack without any problem, you ready to go. if, you have can't make a small roll of sleeping bag, you over pack !
