I've been trying to find out... admittedly not very hard...how contracts compare around the world esp. in regards to data allowances? What't the best one in your country?
Here in the U.K I think the best is 3 because it gives you actual unlimited data as opposed to T-Mob advertising unlimited only for it to be actually erm... limited. In fact I read someone had been to court to try and sue them for misleading advertising but they lost.

I have 3 lines with unlimited minutes and unlimited messaging sharing 6 GB of mobile data. Total cost after my discount before taxes is $185 a month. That's about $62 per phone.

For comparison, Sprint gives unlimited data and messaging with effectively unlimited calling for $79.99 a month.

I'm not on contract but the Orange PAYG tariff I'm on gets you 100mb of internet and 300 free texts per month if you top up by £10.
Seeing as I mostly use my phone to tweet these days it seems about right.

I think if you top up by £15 or £20 you get unlimited texts and internet, but I never need that much credit so I'm not hugely familiar with it.

I don't know of any. The US only has 3 major carriers - AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. There's also T-Mobile. The pricing on all of them is pretty similar. There are also smaller regional carriers.

I use Go Phone® where there is NO contract, 60 minutes (automatically doubled to 120) for $19.95 and the minutes are good for 90 days. So that come out to $6.65 per month for 40 minutes which is just about what I use.

Verizon's Share Everything plan.

$50 for unlimited nationwide calling, text, and first 1 GB data ($15 for every GB over that).

Plus a charge of every device added to the plan...

$40 per phone

$10 per tablet

That's not bad. Can you tether with that too?

A/w for anyone who's interested I'm on 3's The One Plan. It's £25 for a loada mins and texts and all-you-can-eat data for £25 with add. charges for premum no.'s and international calls etc. I could get it for £15 PAYG but that excludes tethering which I need.

I have no idea. I don't use data on my phone, nor would I.
