I have a hard time understanding how people can still play sides.
Because there is a huge difference between Trump and virtually every other president we have ever had.
And the two parties that we have, have completely different views on how the country should be run and what direction is should be going... etc.
Are the politicians selfish and self centered? Yes.
Are both parties overly influenced by particular groups? Yes.
Should we have more than two political parties? Yes... BUT WE DON'T.
None the less, the two parties have completely different agendas.
So how can people still play sides? Because there are essentially two sides. The Republicans, as one example, spent the entire 8 years of of the Obama Administration saying that they would not compromise on anything. The leaders of the Republican partly literally said that they wouldn't even use the word "compromise".
So we have a two sided system.
Your choices are:
> One of the lesser political parties that have no chance of getting anything done,
> or don't pick a side, i.e. do nothing (which means other people are going to decide for you).
In life, you have to make decisions. Often it is a two sided choice.
In the present context you have two sides:
1. For Trump
2. Against Trump
It's just the way it is... life.
