Vote Early, Vote Often

Vote early, vote often is a phrase often said in Irish elections but as I watched the news yesterday and seen people lining up to start voting in your Presidential election so many days before the actual election date I was just thinking WHY?

Why have an election date and then allow people to come a few weeks before to cast their vote?

Can the electoral authorities not deal with everyone on one day?

I seen that the Democrats have got their voters out early which the Republicans traditionally do best. Is this an early indicator that McCain is going to get trashed?

It's mostly to try to get more people to vote who can't come on election day.

It also helps prevent long lines and problems on election day.

As far as McCain getting trashed, I hope so!

It really does help people who arent so flexable or have prearranged plans.

I wouldnt cancel my vacation just to vote on election day. Being why early voting helps people find the time to vote against McCain.

I wouldnt bother voting at all... If the person you vote for gets in, you wont be able to moan when they screw it all up
