Video games... to kids spend to much time on them?

I love video games and my mom always tells me "Jordan you are missing out on a lot of fun because you're always playing those video games!" In some ways i agree with her. I have missed out going out side everyday and just doing stuff with friends. I'm not saying i don't do that stuff because i do all the time. But i'm playing video games or here on the computer more.

Do you guys (and girls) think that kids should play less video games and do more outdoor activities. I think they should because video games are just getting more and more advanced and pretty soon in future generations that's going to be literally ALL kids do. I assume that there will be a higher obesity (sorry for the spelling) rate in kids and teens if video games keep getting better and better.

Any opinions?

I dont think there is a problem. It is only when someone cant function without games when it becomes a problem.

Too much of anything normally isn't a good thing. Parents should encourage their kids to play outside, but there's not much wrong with video games/computer as long as it doesn't become a necessity.

I think alot of kids do play on these consols too much. I personally dont get them, but some of my mates play them everyday pretty much. seriously, like they play it one day for an hour or so, then they play it the next day!

i used to be like that. Me and my friend would sit infront of a tv ALL day until we BEAT a video game. We've beat around 25. We aren't overly obsessed though. Those videos games were from since we were like 6 till now.
