My wife and I had some business on Vancouver Island this past weekend and once we completed that we drove 90 miles south to end up in Victoria where we were able to spend the afternoon and evening. These are some of the shots I was able to get during our short stay.

The Empress Hotel as seen from across the inner harbour.

Victoria is the capital of British Columbia and this is the Parliament Buildings where all our elected members meet to plan ways of relieving us of more tax dollars. They spend part of it on lighting the place up at night. Something I am not against and have wanted to photograph for years.

Fisherman's Wharf is well know and was just a 15 minute walk from our hotel. Some folks have floating houses and decorate them quite nicely.

Some folks spend 5 bucks and buy some herring to feed the wild seals. These little ladies really were fascinated by them as was I.

A night shot of The Empress Hotel

Thanks for looking.

Psstttt...chaski.... just a little heads up. Normally it's frowned upon in forums to post your shots in someone elses thread without asking permission.

Quite a few people were feeding herring to them and I have to tell you they are extremely quick. They can rise out of the water, grab the fish and sink back down as fast as you can blink.

I think all animals take some class at birth to work on how to make those pitiful faces.
