Amazing round of footy so far with 5 of the opening 6 games being decided by 4 pts or less.

Hugely important wins for Hawthorn, North, Sydney and Adelaide.

After the Gaff punch the old call for red cards to be introduced has come again. A knee jerk reaction, things like Gaff/Brayshaw are pretty rare in the game nowadays but my main point is it's a pretty massive thing for the umpires to f*** up again, I barely trust the umpires to competently enforce the rules we have now let alone decide whether a player should stay on the field or not.

Unbelievable how Freo could lead by 9 pts at quarter time and then go on to lose by 133 pts

The All Australian team seems pretty reasonable to me.

Still not a fan of the bye before the finals but it looks like it is here to stay...

In front of 92,000 the tigers showed yet again why they are the team to beat this season. They found another gear when they needed to and Hawthorn just didnt have the depth of talent to go with them.

Tom Lynch’s likely move to the reigning premiers is a great example of what's wrong with free agency. A struggling team invest heavily in Lynch who them moves to the best team in the comp when he himself is in his prime. How is this in any way consistent with equalisation? And not only do Richmond get him for free but effectively every other club pays a price as GC is compensated with pick 4 meaning all picks after 3 get pushed back one so the best team in the comp can sign one of the best forwards in the game. WTF

Really good game btw West Coast and C'wood. It was tight all match with constant lead changes. The game itself wasnt decided until there was around a minute to go..that said any game the pies lose is a good game.

Reckon the AFL would love a Rich v C'wood prelim at the G....though they would also love GWS to make it to the big dance.

Well c'wood have beaten Richmond in a final for the first time in 81 years. Can't remember the last time I saw c'wood play so well. It started with their dominance in the middle with Grundy very good. Crisp and Adams also played very well whilst for me sidebottom was best on ground.

Up forward Cox had a day out and de goey was more than a handful. Richmond looked rattled for much of the match and lacked their customary poise and full on aggression. Dusty had little impact and just didnt seem fully fit. He often chose to handball when kicking looked the better option. His trademark explosive runs were also largely missing.

C'wood will now go into the big dance as favourites. At the start of the season (hell even going into August) I didnt see them as a premiership threat. Unfortunately i can now see them winning the flag.
