Unused Accounts/Users

I've noticed that there are SO many accounts not being used, so why not put a time limit?

Like on this one site that I've joined, if I go like, 2 - 3 months without logging on, they'll email me with an "Activation Notice" meaning I'll have my account deleted if I don't log on soon.

I think we should do that here. There are so many people who join, they never even post, and their account just sits there never being used.

Maybe it's my own tick, lol, that these things are "taking up space". Idk, it's just bothersome.

i'm surprised they dont do that on tfs. other sites usually do. i think it's a good idea though. why join a site if you're never going to go on it?

Makes perfectly good sence to me as well.Let's face it,if you had a program on you computer you didn't use anymore,would you leave it there for the fun of knowing it's taking up space???I don't think so...........

I think it's a good idea, because the birthday list is full of people who are never here, and if you want to see who's birthday it is, it's hard to pick out a name you know out of a huge list of people who logged on once.

I think some people just sign up to see what it is all about and do not know how to delete it after.

I agree on deleting accounts after being in active for a certain amount of time. When I go to the random pictures they show a lot from 2006. When you go to comment it is the only picture in a profile started and ended on the same day.

I think in the past Tino has deleted accounts that have been inactive for a long time, I dunno if he does it often though

Good idea; but make it at least a year...I've had my computer crash on me and didnt' really think I'd ever get a new one..I was away for 4 months, but by no choice of my own.

Yeah, that is true. Maybe 9 months to a year then?

Deleting accounts will screw with the site's numbers. I think spring cleaning should be done. But some admins choose not to in order to appear more active.
