U.S. North Korea diplomatic show down

So today, North Korea announced they have sentenced American journalists Laura ling and Euna lee 12 years in a labor camp. tensions are already high and N.K. will most likely try and use these women as bargaining chips to keep people off their nuclear program.

It does suck, but what can you do? The U.S wont give N.k the respect they feel they deserve, now U.S diplomats will be seen to be grovelling to a rogue state, so internationally N.K may feel that they now have some respect, and as a show of good faith, may release the prisoners. In my opinion thats how it may turn out. Its certainly preferable to all out war. The question I have of my theory is, does the U.S have enough humility to deal with N.K without threatening them?

The world never needs big wars, but sometimes it's the only option against people so evil. For now we'll just have to cross our fingers and hope N.K. shows some commons sense for a change.
