I would like some feedback on how well or poorly you think I handled both situation:

Discussion concerning the attack on religion by the Anon.

Discussion on an old bf's intolerance of homosexuality.

The reason that I want feedback is because I am trying to learn how to tolerate certain people and topics.

She grew up Seventh Day Adventist and then she figured out that they were a cult.

Or at least in her mind they were ... and to denounce that which you were taught by your parents is a rough thing to do. I grew up catholic and it was very rough realizing that they are a little "out there" also. (at least I think so)
